What to Bring

Bible, sleeping bag or bedding for twin bed, toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc.), towels, sunscreen, clothes to get wet and messy in, one piece or tankini swimsuit (If a camper wears a swimsuit that is inappropriate, they will be asked to wear a t-shirt over it) socks, tennis shoes.

Optional Items: Sports equipment, room fan, alarm clock, camera, personal money for Starbucks or Chapstore. Please identify your belongings with your name.

Please do not bring expensive electronic equipment. We do our best to secure dorm rooms throughout the week, but LCU will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Arrival and Departure

Check-in for Camp Champion will be in Katie Rogers Hall, Sunday 2-5pm. You can request your roommate when you check in. You can have either 2 or 3 to a room. We will do our best to honor these, but it is on a first come first served basis. Plan to arrive within the stated registration time frame.

Check-out is at 9:30 am after the end of week slide show presentation on Friday. You must check out with your counselor on the morning camp closes. You will be responsible for any repair costs to damaged rooms.

End of Week Video

Parents are welcome to attend the End of Week video in The McDonald Moody Auditorium at 9:00 am on Friday.

Medications

Any prescribed medication to be taken at camp should be prepared in the following manner: 1) placed in a plastic bag with specific instructions, 2) clearly labeled with camper’s name, and 3) turned in to camp nurse at registration.

Camper Mail

Camper mail is delivered daily. Remember that mail will take a few days to travel so please do not mail letters near the end of the week. Address letter to:

Payment of Account

Each camper’s balance is due by June 15. All balances must be paid before arriving to camp. Please contact the camp office if you have an outstanding balance. Deposits are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred. If a camper does not attend camp and has not notified the camp office 48 hours prior to the first day of camp, the entire tuition, including the deposit, will be forfeited.
